Leadership
Throughout the year I have developed leadership skills within all four years of high school. Being in sports, clubs, and doing volunteer work has taught me and given me the opportunity to be a leader. I learned that everyone can be a leader in their own way. When playing sports I was a leader on and off the court. In clubs such as Leadership, I lead my own group and make sure that certain jobs get done and make sure other students are leading by example as well.
Handle Criticism |
Respect
|
Being able to handle criticism is a trait that has been hard to develop, but managed to take gain without taking criticism personal. I had to teach myself and force myself to take in criticism because I knew it would help me become better. I learned to develop this trait as I played sports and in my academics.

Being respectful is a great quality trait/skill that I believe that I've carried not only throughout high school, but that I've carried throughout my life. Showing respect and treating people with respect gets you respect. I've always treated others with respect and have always used this skill everywhere I go.

Communication
Communication is another skill that I have that I believe is a necessity in anything you do. I had to build my communication skills because of sports, clubs, and academics. In order to work with people you have to communicate and communication is KEY! Communication helps get certain things done and brings people together. Being a part of leadership has helped me develop communication skills because I have to work with so many different people.
Problem solving
I've developed a skill that I always use because others and myself face problems all the time whether they're big or small. I've developed this skill because of sports, school, and the extracurriculars I have been a part of. There's always a solution you can find to every problem and I've learned that throughout my years of high school.
